I recommend Windfall Acres to any equestrians seeking an ethical, supportive, and friendly environment in which to grow. I found the stables while looking to return to riding lessons after losing my horse. From my first visit, I felt a sense of care and intention that sets Windfall apart. I was immediately impressed by the way Jasper and his staff place the horses’ care and well-being at the forefront of everything they do. The horses live in a herd environment, receive monthly bodywork, and benefit from regular saddle fittings. Hay and water troughs are always full, and the horses are settled in their herds. This approach is clearly reflected under saddle. From the experienced schoolmasters to the green youngsters, I have consistently found Windfall’s horses to be relaxed, safe, and happy in their work.

I thoroughly enjoy the variety of disciplines offered at the facility: dressage, jumping, cross-country, and working equitation. This mix keeps lessons engaging while reinforcing a strong foundation of riding principles. Lessons begin with a quiet walk warm-up rather than pre-lunging, allowing both horse and rider to stretch, settle, and connect. The one-on-one coaching has been invaluable in helping me address bad habits while building a new skill set. Exercises are clearly explained and thoughtfully broken down, allowing me to progress toward my goals with confidence. The support from my instructor has been exceptional, and the improvement in my riding speaks directly to that guidance.

Beyond my weekly lesson, I’ve appreciated the bonus opportunities Windfall Acres offers, including group jumping lessons, horse shows, clinic outings, and relaxed stable gatherings. These experiences have been a wonderful way to gain extra horse time and connect with other equestrians. Jasper and his team have truly created a welcoming, inclusive environment where riders of all levels feel supported and encouraged.

I am a senior rider with some health issues but I have been riding since my early childhood and I want to be able to ride as long as possible.

I read some of Jasper’s posts in Facebook and was impressed with his holistic and horse centred approach to horses and riding so I reached out to see if he would give me some lessons.

I have to say that the experience has far exceeded my expectations. The lessons are one on one and very much focussed on the rider’s understanding and consideration of the horse as opposed to forcing the horse to do what the rider wants. It was a very new concept to me and I love it.

And because I am almost 70, I also love that there is no pressure to do more than I am comfortable with. No pressure to show, to jump or even to canter unless those are my goals. If my goal is to simply be a better, more balanced rider at the walk and trot, that is perfectly fine here.

My horse and I love it here! Jasper is very knowledgable in all aspects of care; especially nutrition, training, and rehabbing. I can’t get out to see my mare very often at the moment and Jasper goes above and beyond to make sure she is well loved while I’m gone. There’s nobody I trust more!

Windfall Acres is a small but mighty barn.

The coaches are amazing and truly care about the horse and rider connection and proper biomechanics. Jasper is hands down the best coach I have ever had and with his help I have progressed quickly and have a clear understanding of what I am succeeding at and where I need to improve more.

He has helped me build a strong connection and clear communication techniques with my horse and is always there to support our growth in every way, including getting into some fun eventing shows for the first time, proper tack fitting and proper nutrition.

All of the horses are loved and well cared for at all times and the vibe of the barn is relaxed and fun. It’s truly a wonderful place to be and I am so glad I found it .

I have had not one but two horses here and the care is amazing! The weight our gelding was able to put on was insane in just one month being here.
